Jeff Probst

Richard Hatch won’t be back!

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

richard-hatch-released.jpg…of course, we didn’t even know that it was a possibility, until now…

The show is filming, or soon to wrap up Survivor: Samoa, the 19th season of the show, and thanks to Jeff Probst, we know that Season 20 will be filmed right afterward, and the casting director mentioned that the casting for 19/20 was being done simultaneously. They’re doing them both in a row to save on production costs. This means that Survivor 20 will be in Samoa as well… filming between August 1 and September 20.

The last time that happened? Allstars, baby, in the Pearl Islands.

So - is this going to be another allstars? All signs point to yes - and the “secret twist” has already been revealed. This time, it’s Heroes vs. Villians - confirmed by a cast member that wasn’t asked to return.

Someone else who won’t be returning? Richard Hatch, though he was invited. The email confirming the Heroes vs. Villians allstars was revealed as part of Hatche’s petition to be released from his halfway house stint early so that he could go on the show. His big argument was that going on the show would stand in for his needing a job now, and enable him to pay the 2000 and 2001 taxes he owes - for not paying taxes after winning the first season. *Snerk* Irony at it’s best.

Of course, that email was supposed to be kept quiet, in order to keep the twist a secret, but the request was denied, as everyone and their brother is talking about it.

Coby Archa, from Palau, is spoiling everything he can get his hands on at the Survivor Suck board, though he didn’t spoil the cast other than to say that “most of it irritates the shit out of me” but mostly just because he was jealous.

Coby suggested around 35 went to LA for interviews, and of that 10 hadn’t been on the show twice (Their season/Allstars.)

So what do you think? Ready for another Allstars season? Will it be better than the Fans vs. Faves that didn’t really get good until the second half? Who do YOU want to see return for a second (…or third…) stint on the show - hero or villain? My only request is - no Fairplay. He had his chance. No more Fairplay.

Sound off - and let me know what you think!

Survivor Recap at last: The Martyr Approach.

Friday, May 15th, 2009

tocantinslogoWow - what an episode! There are a lot of choice moments in it… stay tuned and find out!

Forza, Night 33, we rejoin the final five as they return from Tribal Council and Debbie’s ouster, which had Coach shocked to the core. JT tells Coach that his number one ally was gunning for him, that Debbie wrote his name down. He looks shocked, says he’s the lamb lead to the slaughter, and they tell him if they told him ahead of time, they wouldn’t believe him. Coach tells us that he knows he’s dangerous, and is shocked that they protected him. He says the lesson is the game is still being played with truth and honesty and it’s the first time in the game he’s almost speechless - almost. Now he wants to talk to Stephen and JT and find out when he’s going because he knows that Coach Wade is no longer in control of the game.

Roll title sequence!

Day 34, and Coach thanks JT and Stephen for saving his ass, and knows he’s at their mercy. He asks them what they want to do about Exile, and JT says they should send the girls over and over, and Coach says that he feels like he scarred his lungs yesterday, and like for him, it’s whatever they want. Coach tells us taht he wants to go to Exile, and he hopes that his asthma doesn’t act up, he’s losing it, his asthma is kicking his ass, and his back hurts worse every day. Coach says that he wants to go, but the cold calculating part of him wants to send taj or erinn.

Stephen tells us that they are DYING to send Coach to exile because he’s so skittish about it, and think he’s scared. Stephen and JT shrug it off, decide they’re not going to tell him that he’s going - JT tells us that he’s ready to test him and send him to exile, it’d be nice for him to be weak in the next immunity challenge.

survivormaze

Reward challenge!
They must race through a maze that says “Survivor”, construct a pole, get the sandbag, and use it to knock down three poles and raise their flag. Oh yeah, they have to do the whole thing while their ankles are shackled. Yippy! They’re playing for an overnight stay at the governors retreat - including a shower, a bed, and a feast. Winner sends one to exile.

Survivpr’s ready? GO! JT is in the lead, and everyone follows him, except TAJ - she hits a dead end, and Coach just follows JT, who’s been right so far. It’s follow the leader. JT has no problem making his way through the maze - and coach has no trouble following him. It’s JT, than coach - followed by Taj, Erinn and Stephen.

JT and Coach are working the poles, Coach would love to win a reward “Damn right” he says. JT puts his pole together first, as everyone gets to work on it. JT has the lead and hasn’t looked back - and his pole is strong. He grabs his sandbag on the first try, coach is still trying as JT knocks down the first target, the second, and the third - JT WINS REWARD!

tocantinslogoAt LAST! Sorry ya’ll, my kid had her final swim meet, and there was all sorts of chaos leading up to that, and added carpools and… well. yah. I suck, I’m sorry, but we’re gonna get ourselves back on track! Ready? Let’s do it!

Previously, on Survivor… Tyson was sent packing and Sierra survived. Ha!

We rejoin Forza right after the Tribal council, and Sierra tells us that she couldn’t have asked for another tribal. Stephen says that they didn’t tell Sierra and Debbie because they knew how their vote was going, while Coach tells everyone he didn’t see it coming and JT tells him they hope that he didn’t blame them. Stephen tells us that everyone was trying to smile saccarine smiles at him as Coach tells them there’s no hard feelings at all.

Roll Title Sequence!

Day 28. Debbie asks what the next move is, and Stephen and JT tell her Errinn and Sierra. Debbie tells us she’s recoiling like a snake to see what her next move is… does she beleive them? She goes and talks to Coach and says that they blindsided them and she’s pissed, they’re sitting ducks. She tells us she’d have bet that Tyson would still be there, but if Errin and Sierra go like planned it takes Timbira down to two. She tells Coach that she won’t be happy with 5th, or with Coach as 4th. She tells us they need to pull Timbira tribe back together, and maybe gain control of the game again.

“It’s funny when they cry”

Friday, April 24th, 2009

Hey guys! Sorry to be so late AGAIN, but alas, I had previous commitments and couldn’t rearrange my schedule, so we’re getting a day after recap in my fabulous snarky style. Ready? Let’s do it!

8 are left - who will be voted out tonight?
It’s night 24, and Forza is back at camp and they start right in on Sierra, tyson saying “You have to admit Sierra, that we’re bad ass.” She asks to talk to Coach, while telling us that she’s not a bad person for writing his name down. She tells him that she never meant to write down his name and he said that she could have done anything but put his name down, since he’s the only one that hasn’t lied. He tells her that in love and war it’s kill or be killed - Brenden put himself against him, as did she, so who deserves to go next?

(Wait - what? It’s kill or be killed in LOVE too? Oh Coach. Oh my, dear sweet Coach. You are an idiot.)

The next morning, day 24, and it’s another sweeping view of Coach doing his little celebration of his victory over Brenden. He tells us that there was a feeling of peace that just settled over him - to pit himself over someone younger, and maybe stronger - cept that Coach can bench 300lbs, and Brenden cant do that. He says the battle is won, victory is his. Ha.

tocantinslogo-:10 It’s Survivor Recapping time! Since my server seems to be down, I’ll post this asap. (Of course, if you’re seeing it, then it’s clear the issue has cleared up. Ha!) After two weeks off, it’s great to be back with a brand spankin new episode! Ready? let’s get our Recap on….

:00 Here we go kids - Previously on survivor… 11 are left, who will be voted out tonight?

:01 Jalapao, day 15, right after the Tribal Council, JT is talking about the merge, and they can’t lose again, as it’d be another tough loss for them. Sydney is nervous, but Joe tells her not to worry, she’ll make it to the merge. JT and Steve are protective, and JOe tells her se has a free pass.

:02 Roll Title Sequence!

:06 Timbira, Day 16, and beans are done, through they made it with river ater and there’s a bit of a fight over what to do about it, and Coach, of course gets his way, and then the beans burn to the bottom of the pot, and Sierra is upset about it. Coach complains and says that he doesn’t give a rip abot it, tells us that it was a ombination of wanting them to cook longer and it raining, and he tells them that he’ll take the blame. Coach says it’s meaningless, and stupid. Brenden says he does irritating things, but e accepts it because that makes him predictible, which is good in this game.

Back at Jalapao, they’re eating beans as well, and JT says it’s getting weird up in there. He’s been honest with everyone and hopes to stay that way, he hopes everyone is honest with him too. Taz wants to tell JT that she has the idol, and she and Steven chat about it a it. Steve is worried that it makes him wary, and Steve tells us he’s controlling the info between them, he doesn’t want to be out of the loop. Ta says that the 4 person alliance is still in play, but she wants JT to trust her so that they can get to the merge. Steve isn’t sure though.

:11 Reward Challenge! Hi Mr. Dimples!

Today, each tribe will have 5 minutes to build a barricade in the other tribe’s cage, then they’ll toss pigs through their own - most pigs at the end of 10 minutes wins a bbq at a waterfall, and someone will miss the reward and be on exile. Erinn sits out.

First stage - each tribe has 5 minutes to build the baracade - the idea is to make it impossible for the other tribe to get through. 4 minutes left - make them count! All done - now they have 10 minutes to toss the pigs through the baracade. One pig at a time - if it drops or breaks it doesn’t count. Lot of them are breaking - big learning curve here. Timbiri gets the first point - now two, then three - 5-2! Timbira is on a roll with a rythem but Jalapao is starting to catch up! 7-5… 8 for Timbira, Tyson starts breaking them and Timbira falls apart - now we’re tied nd Jalapao is back in it!

9-9 with three minutes left, then Jalapao takes the lead, 10-9 - Tyson is throwing them too hard, and Jalapao is staying in the lead, then Timbira ties with one minute left and Timbira in the lead 13-12, then tied 12-12 with 30 seconds, make it count! Time is running out, and they’re still tied, it’s down to the wire, 10 seconds… with seconds to go TIMBIRA WINS REWARD!

wk61

Timbira sends Joe which makes Taz happy because they have their alliance in place. Joe decides to bring Erinn, and tells us his charm game is part of his strategy, and he hopes he’ll get in good with her so she’ll flip at the merge. Timbira heads off to their reward, while Jalapao heads back to camp. JT says the Reward is just a reward, but they cant blow it when it comes to the Immunity Challenge.

Survivor: Tocantins - The Brazilian Highlands

Inorite? Of course, I only just now realized it was Thursday, so that’s kinda weird too. I really would like to ditch this whole cold sinus thing I got going on so maybe I can have a fully functioning brain again! While I wait though, how about the interview roundup?

We lost cutiepie Spencer last week, but we still have plenty of interviews to catch up on: Reality News Online, Survivor Fans Podcast, Reality TV Watch, and People Magazine.

Next week, we won’t have an actual Survivor boot episode either, but it’s the annual Clip Episode. Now, Jeff promised us in his Episode 5 Blog that this one will be better than any other Clip Show. See?

“We are on WEDNESDAY NIGHT with a really cool “never before scenes” special. There are some great scenes that will crack you up, including Coach conducting. It’s really good stuff. I know a lot of you guys hate this episode so we worked especially hard to make it rock! One of our best producers Daren sweated night and day for weeks to find stuff worthy of your time. Give it a shot if you’re around.”

We’ll find out just how good they are on WEDNESDAY, March 25th. We’ll be back to regular schedule on April 2nd.

.

In the meantime, while we await the return of our beloved Mr. Dimples and Survivor: Tocantins, check these out! Jeff Probst takes us behind the scenes to show us how they go about putting together the title sequence. Scott, a dreadlocked DP of the Main Title, explains how it came about, and what goes into it all.

.

Interesting stuff, huh? See ya next week - as yeah, I’ll recap the clip show. I’m such an addict! (and so are you - you know you’ll be here too!)

“You’re gonna want that tooth!”

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

tocantinslogo-:05 It’s SURVIVOR night! Whoo! We’re locked and loaded and ready for the as it happens recap! Who do you think is gonna lose a tooth?! Is it bad that I’m hoping it’s Coach? :) Stay tuned!

:00 Previously, on Survivor…. 12 are left - who will be voted out tonight?

:02 We rejoin Jalapao on Day 13, as Taj is getting her back scratched, and then she explains to us she put Joe’s name down because she wouldn’t put down Sandy’s. She’s feeling confident that her alliance is there, she just needs to find the idol. They head off to “fill water bottles” and she and Steve search for it around the Tree Mail - and they find it! She tells us all they have to do now is make it to the merge and everything is intact “I just love it when a perfect plan comes together - it’s so much fun!”

She lets Steve keep it, because they won’t suspect him, and he’s going to keep it safe. Stephen says because he has the pockets. He wants to try to keep it in his possession, because theoretically it is his -he’s wearing it around his neck.

:04 Commercial!

:08 Timbira - they’re figuring out chores, starting fires (Brenden) and washing pots and such. Sierra takes the time to talk to Brenden and says “Dude! You didn’t tell me!” And he laughs, and he tells her that he was going to tell her. He tells us it could have been a disaster, but he lets her know that he as the HII, and she tells us that after 3 days of being a loser when she got there, she’s proud and they’re gonna take over the whole world. Famous last words anyone?

:10 Reward challenge time! Hi Mr. Dimples! It’ll be played in rounds - they’ll sit on the spinny platform, then walk balance beam over the finish line. Today’s reward - Charmin cafe, coffee pastries and a working toilet with lots of Charmin.

And one person from the winning tribe will miss reward. ha!
Joe will be pulling Taz, Brenden pulling tyson.. Taj almost falls over, Tyson looks drunk. Tyson takes his time, Taj tries to go too fast - they’re neck and neck, Tyson barely beats her, and wins for Timbira! 1-0. Playing to Three.

Stephen pulls and spins Spenser, Coach pulls and spins Errin - They get up at the same time, Spense is ahead until spense falls off - then she does - and Spencer gets Jalapao gets a oint! 1-1!

Joe spins JT, Brenden spins Seirra - Seirra is FLYING! She takes a breath - and JT is trying to get rid of the dizziness, Probst says it’s like a bad friday night. Ha!Sierra has the early lead… she falls off and runs back, JT FLYS ACROSS AND Jalapao leads 2-1

Stephen spins Sydney, Coach spins Debra…. Both women stand at the same time, Sydney makes quick work at of the first half, but falls, Deb is ahead, Sydney races a second time and wins! JALAPAO WINS REWARD!

They send Brenden to exile, and he says it’s evil to pick someone to go with him - nd he picks Steven, and Taj says “I love you!” Tyson tells us privately that he doesn’t know what’s going on, but he seems to have their respect which could be dangerous. But the Charmin Cafe is waiting - time for Reward!

:17 …. and a commercial. :)

Weekly Interview Roundup!

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009

Hello Survivor Fans!

Survivor: Tocantins - The Brazilian Highlands

How was YOUR weekend? Mine was spent with the youngest at a swim meet, so we’re pretty tired still - but none of that matters when it comes to our Survivor: Tocantins high! Sandy is gone, and no one is REALLY surprised, are they? How do you feel about the loss of the resident crazy lady? More importantly, how does the “Sexy kitten” feel about her ouster? Let’s find out, hm?

The interviews: Reality News Online, Survivor Fans Podcast, Reality TV Watch, Buddy TV.

Poor Sandy. She thought sure they’d take strength over beauty, but instead they picked sane over scary… Happens to the best of us, Sandy!

And let’s not forget Mr. Dimple’s continuing blog love affair with Coach - the deliverer of such fantastic lines as “When you look at me and you look at Brendan, who looks stronger? I do.” I do love all of Jeff Probst’s blogs! He’s got a funny little biting inside wit that we don’t get to see enough of on screen. Like pointing out one of Mar Burnett’s pet peeves, and adding that when you have a house in Malibu, you are no longer allowed to voice said pet peeves. Oh, Dimples, I adore you so!

survivorromance

In other news - Survivor: China’s winner, Todd Herzog, just went public that he’s dating this seasons Spencer Duhm! (Do you think poor Spencer got much teasing about his last name growing up? Yeah, me too..) Awwww… what a cute couple! According to Todd, they began dating about a month before he season began and have been doing the “take it slow” thing. They have extreme opposites in taste, but also share a love of travel and keeping active.

Says Todd “I was attracted to him the moment I saw him, mainly because he’s got this confidence that pours out of him and a piercing stare that you can’t help but notice so I went ‘fishing’! Started talking with him and reeled him in! He’s coming to stay with me all next week, and I with him next month. I’ll be in New York for his finale in May and we are planning a huge trip this summer … So hopefully things go well! I’m like a wall that usually wont let anyone one close to me, but he’s doing a great job at breaking it down so I have high hopes!”

Awww, best wishes to the both of them! And what does Todd think of the current season? Loves it! Loves Tyson, can’t stand Coach, is thrilled with Taj. I couldn’t agree more, Todd!

The Strongest Man Alive

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

tocantinslogo:-02 *Slides into chair just in time* WHEW! It’s Survivor time, kids! Yay!

:00 Previously, on Survivor…

:01 Timbira, day 9, as they tribe gets back from Tribal Council, and Coach talks about the Leadership argument and he says it pissed him off and Errin has to go, she’s the cancer of the tribe, and she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. She would have been one unanimously had Jerry not been sick.

The next morning, they start talking about picking a leader, and figuring out what works best, they need it. Tyson tells us that they established Brenden or Coach as leader, and adds “I wasn’t paying attention, i don’t really care.”

Then Coach steps up and says he trusts Brenden as leader, as much as he’d like to be it, then tells us that if brenden got voted off, he’d step in. But he wants a sharp tribe. He continues and says they’re not succeeding, thriving, or existing, he’s the only one that’s got experience, and he is the strongest and should lead, while they’re only existing.

:04 Roll credits and commercial!

:07 nd we’re back, checking in at Jalapao on day 10. Spencer says that they’re worried when Taj goes to exile, and what kind of toll it’s taking on her. She, however is handling things well, and tells us so, as well as her plan to talk to Steven. She pulls him aside, and they have their little powow. She tels him that they’re gonna be part of the biggest upset in Survivor history. Steve tells us about the pact, and he says he just stumbled ass backwards into a big alliance and Taj promises him she’ll protect him.

Over on Timbira - Tree Mail! Talk about shouldering the load… and they figure they’ll pick Taj, and Brenden hasn’t had a chance to talk to Sierra yet about the plan, and he’s worried.

Challenge time! 3 members will hav a pole across their shoulders, each round weight will be added - drop the pole, out of the challenge, last one standing wins reward. 2 men and 1 woman must be chosen. The reward is a camp raid! 2 Members go to the losing tribe and steal two items. And 2 people go to Exile.

rc

Sitting out is Sierra, and Steven and Spenser.

Weight bearers Joe, Taz, JT - Debra, Brenden, Tyson. Brenden and Joe get the first weight - the other tribe decides ho gets it, and the tribe member adds weight to their own tribe. Each bag weighs 10 pounds. JT and Tyson get the next bags. Jalapao hits Brenden again, while Timbira hits Taj. She looks STRONG standing there - wonder how long she can hang in with the big boys?

Speeding through adding weignt, and Brenden has 180, all thew ay down to Taj and Debra holding 80 pounds. Brenden is at 200 now, and the record is 220 in Pearl Islands by RUPURT! Brenden is 2 bags away from that, and they hit him with it again. Taj points out he’s wobbling, and drops it. JT has 200 pounds for Jalapao, while Timbira has Debra and Tyson hanging in for them. JT is DETERMINED. He holds 220! Tyson is wobbling and falls out at 140. Debra is Timbira’s only hope - and JT drops out, tying Ruperts record. JOe drops out right behind him - his arm is hurt, and it’s down to the omen, Debra vs. Taj! Debra is shaky, Taj is STRONG. Both women are at 100 pounds now. Taj is starting to sweat, but looks solid… Debra is hunched over, can’t be good for her back - and she DROPS IT! Jalapao wins reward! Taj runs over and congratulates Debra for doing a hell of a job (good show!) and they send Sierra, and she picks Taj. Brenden tells us he hopes that works out for them.

They’ll be back for immunity, and everyone heads back to camp to wait for the raid. Coach is worried that they’ll clean out his food supply, and then they’ll be nothing as a tribe within days…

Thursday already?!

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

s18_ep4_press_images_0008

OMG. How can it be Thursday already?! My week has totally gotten away from me! It’s been a madhouse around here! So sorry, ya’ll. Here’s the weekly round up though - and a preview for tonight’s episode!

First things first - did ya hear that Survivor was picked up for two more seasons? INORITE?! Two more seasons at LEAST of Mr. dimples.. Yay!

Jerry’s interview circuit:
Reality News Online, Entertainment Weekly, Buddy TV, Survivor Fans Podcast, People Magazine.

Jeff’s preview of tonight’s episode is floating about there somewhere, but I’ve yet to find it. I did, however, find a transcript of it and he’s very excited about the cross tribal alliance with Taj, Brenden, Steven and Sierra - saying it’s a first for so early in the season. It comes into play tonight, as well as Coach complaining that he’s not being seen as a leader in Timbira. or rather, he’s not being accepted as the leader he feels he is. Gotta love to hate that guy, huh?

Looks like Sandy’s reprieve on the first impressions is starting to wear thin too - she’s driving folks crazy… and wtf is with the tribal “dancing”?

(And of course, the snake sighting count is up at eleventybillion already, and I’m not anticipating adding to that tonight! Ugh! There was one preview this week that showed on striking and it made me scream every time! I swear they do that on purpose…)

So - who’s your favorites so far? What do you REALLY think of Coach? Is it possible for a man that smug to survive in the real world? Who do YOU think is going tonight? Dish darlings, and I’ll see you back here for the as it happens recap!

Momma said there’d be days like this!

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

tocantinslogo:00 ..there’d be days like this, mah Mama said, mama said! It’s SURVIVOR NIGHT! Yay! Time to get our recap on… previously, on Survivor… 14 are left - who will be voted out tonight?

:01 Timbira, on Day five, after Tribal Council, as they rehash voting out Candace, and Sierra says that Candace didn’t see it coming, while Coach doesn’t say anything. Coach says that (Errin?) insulted their intellignece because she says that she didn’t want Candace to know what was up, and was hanging out with er only to see what she was up too. Coach says it’s insulting and she’s made her bed and will have to lie in it.

:03 Roll intro and Commercial!

:07 Day seven at Timbira, and it’s time to start a fire, and everyone is looking miserable and cold. Erinn says that it’s weird, she was assiciated with Candace now, and that she has to go in and out perform everyone - and she thinks she can out perform Sierra and Debbie and she’s fighgint for her life a little bit. They’re making breakfast of beans and rice and Jerry says that he’s gonna pass on breakfast because it’s screwing up his stomach. Jerry says he’s not feeling well, something he’s been eating is messing up his stomach, so he sticks to rice. But he says he wants to be looked up as the stronger one, so he’s gonna pretend he’s happy, but he’s miserable, but thinks in another day or so e’ll be good. “Mama said there’d be days like this..”

Stephen says that everyone imagined they’d be feasting on fish since they had gear, but it’s not exactly happening that way. The are having problems catching minnows, and can’t figure out a system on how to throw it. JT says that live bait is the way to go, they’ll get it under control. And they start catching fish, gonna feast tonight! Happy Jalapao. JOe says the fish tasted like victory. They’re a force to be recorned with.

Mr. Dimples! That must mean it’s Challenge time!

6 members will be blindfolded and tied into pairs, with number seven guiding them. They have to collect water, then corn, and raise their flags. They’re playing for a tarp, and umbrella, chairs, pillows a hammock, and the winner choses a member to go to exile, who chooses a member to join them.

Joe is the caller for Jalapow, Debra for Timbera, and they’re off - JT fionds a bucket first, followed y Sierra, They can’t hear Debra well, Jalapao has water, and Brenden and Jerry don’t bother listening and keep going while Jalapao takes the lead, and brenden and jerry finally find their bucket, Timbira fallig wy behind. Jalapao has 3 buckets of water, while timbira has hardly any water, and Tyson has a long trail of people, but they’re in slow motion - then finall starts pouring their water - as Jalapao gets their first flag! Time to look for corn!

Timbira is close on wter but needs one more. JT finds the corn, and get a face full of the as the Jalapao, starts filling the corn and Jeff says Timbira is “really blowing this challenge! Jalapao has excellent teamwork, and Jalapao WINS REWARD!

Coach be maaaaaad.

rc

Jalapao sends brenden once again, and so he grabs Taz once more, and they go back again. Jeff asks if it concerns Specer, and he says not really, They’ll be back in time for Immunity challange, and they had off as Jalapao grabs all their cool stuff, and Timbira stomps out and tells us that they have to turn it around. Winners find a way to win, losers find a way to lose, they gotta get it together.

Monday…er, Tuesday Round up!

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

ep3previewSorry, ya’ll - I had a few internet issues yesterday, including a stretch of time with no power. That’ll put a damper on using ye olde internets, for sure! But never fear - the interview round up and misc. other stuff is here!

First off -Mr. Dimples. Do you read Probst’s blogs over at EW’s Popwatch? You know me, i’m mildly obsessed with those dimples, and have been since he first season I watched of Survivor, way back in the Pearl Island days. He’s more than just Dimples and blue shirts thought - the guy is funny! And smart! And cute, but we knew that. Anyway - don’t miss his highlights on Episode Two, which can be found here. Where else can you find such gems as:

Here’s a fact I’ve never admitted before. I secretly pray for rain every time we do a challenge. I love it when it rains. Not just because it turns me on a little bit, but also because it adds so much to the look and play of a Survivor challenge. It amps up the drama, it makes the shots look that much ”cooler,” and like I said, I just like being wet.

I do love that man. :)

Next up - the interviews with Candace:
Reality News Online, Reality TV Magazine, Reality TV Watch, Buddy TV and Survivor Fans Podcast.

The Survivor Insider transcripts have some itneresting tidbits in them too - like a couple of girls who are already going nuts for a little lovin because they’ve been isolated for Five! Whole! Days! Five days. FIVE DAYS and they’re already looking at each other with “RAWR SEXAY” in their eyes? When they haven’t showered or brushed their teeth? Oh. My.

Think I’m kidding? Check it!

Candace (solo): It’s day 5 and I’m losing my mind. Every day I’m here I get more and more attracted to more people. I don’t know if it’s like being in an isolated environment. Every day I’m here I get more and more attracted to more people. I don’t know if it’s like being in an isolated environment. People are checking out people they would never check out in normal day-to-day life, and I know that’s happening with me, you know what I mean?

(various scenes of Candace ogling people)

Candace: I’m gonna tell you right now, if we win a shower and brush our teeth, I’m getting freaky with somebody.

Erinn: She’s like, “I don’t care who it is. It’s been a long time. I’ve been out here 4 days, I’m done.”

(Below, after the cut - a whole bunch of extra scenes and tidbits, thanks to CBS.)

The previews for Thursday’s show look pretty good as well - what with Tyson’s “I just love seeing people cry when you crush their dreams” and the picture above which I’m pretty sure is Coach and Tyson. Sounds like more backstabbing and treachery ahead!

Speaking of Coach - did you hear he got fired from his job? True! Coach maintains though, that his firing as the woman’s soccer coach at Southwest Baptist University is not due to the way Coach Ben Wade handled himself, even if we all found him to be a cocky SOB. Coach says that his perception on the show wasn’t the problem, just the timing. He swears he’ll be made out to be a hero, but that the timing of the filming of the show is what lead to his coaching demise. The school agreed, and said that they understand it’s reality TV and “they can make it however they want to make it.” The dismissal had nothing to do with Survivor, itself, but rather a misunderstanding here Coach didn’t tell his boss that he left the team with 2 weeks still to compete in the season to film Survivor. Coach wants to concentrate on his television career now. I foresee a remake of Highlander… bad acting and all. How bout you?

Alrighty - that completes the roundup! After he cut - more “secret scenes” and “additional footage” than you can shake a stick at! Including Coach’s excuses for his poor challenge performance. Ya don’t wanna miss that!
