-:15 Episode 9 - can you believe it?! Things are just going too, too, too fast for me lately! But here we are and the merge is finally upon us - who do YOU think is going out tonight? Stick with me, and check back right here for the as it happens recap!

:00 Previously on Survivor… Here we go kids! After the recap, we rejoin Kota on night 24, as they return to camp. Crystal and Susie share a hug to ceebrate, and they applaud Kenny for speaking ou. He tells us the Crystal in him was coming out - he had to stand up for himself, and he’s orchastrated 2 blindsides in a row. He says the next to go is Bob, while Bob tells Susie he knows he’s toast, and he needs a merge - he tells us without a merge, he’s history, even though he teaches science. A little joke. Ha!

:06 We’re back, and it’s a brand new day. Fang, day 25, to be exact. They’re having problems getting fire, there’s nothing to eat, and they’re hoping for a Merge. They get treemail, and it’s tied on a golf flag. It’ll be fun, they say - and there’s a cultural trip, for those that perform better. Corinne wanted a merge, but they practice with their slingshot and golf balls. Corinne is fine as long as her team doesn’t go home, of course.

Reward challenge time! Everyone is shocked to see Marcus gone - Corrine looks miserable, and says straight up that she’s pissed, that he didn’t deserve to leave. Kota says that they all deserve it, it’s a game - and Kenny doesn’t understand why someone says he didn’t deserve it. Charlie is sad.

The challenge - golfing survivor style, with a large sling shot toward the hole. Tribe with losest shots wins the whole, best out of 3 wins reward. Meal, ceremony, and local dancers, etc - and losing tribe member goes to exile. Survivors ready? GO!

Kota has the first shot, 300 yards to the whole, and it’s just shy of 150 yards. Matty sends his way out there, another nice shot, and they go over to take shot 2. Kota shoots first - Bob rocks it, and gets it nice and close. Fang’s shot ends up only 20 yards from the whole. Fang takes shot trhee - Randy is way short. Kenny for Kota, wins the hole for Kota, and scores the first point!

Second hole 225 yards, uphill! Bob rocks it, just past the 125 marker. Matty for Fang, very close to Bobs. Fang takes second shot - High and is just 6 inches from the hole! Kota’s second shot is about 40 feet away. Kota takes shot three, and Kenny shoots long, and Fang ties the score 1-1!

Hole three - whoever takes it wins! 200 yards uphil! Matty launches it high and perfect. Kota and Bob has a HUGE drive! It’s gonna be a close one! Matty gets a nice one up hill, and it rolls back to right next to the hole, Kota ends up real close as well! Kenny takes the third shot…. JUST MISSES IT! 6 inches too far - Fang takes their shot and goes short, has it right on the edge. Big time pressure for Kota, Kenny takes it… just overshoots it, and it’s matty’s to lose - Randy gets all ordering, and they’re trying to discuss it, and Randy wants to do it, Matty says no Randy says just drop it - Matty won’t, Charlie says shhh, calm, happy, shhhh…. and it’s in, easily after all that - Fang with the win!

Randy’s still bitching, while the boys tell him to relax. Who goes to Exile? Bob - what a shock. Corinne thinks he can find the idol and wishes him luck in doing that. He’ll return for immunity. Sugar laughs with us, because he won’t find the idol. Fang heads out for their reward. Matty says he felt like he’d have 4 heart attacks. Randy says what he pulled was ugly, Matty wouldn’t listen.

:20 We’re back - it’s Reward time! They’re welcomed by dancers with yells and calls, as they continue on to the feast. Matty, as the only Fang member who’s been Fang the whole game is thrilled to finally have a reward. Corine says they’re thinking food, but they were instead beat with leaves and washed, and then they went to another area where they’re eating. Matty says he was shocked to see Marcus gone, and Charlie i pretty depressed about it. He doesn’t know who to turn too since Marcus was the thinker. They are invited to dance, and Randy thinks one of the girls liked him - he hates to dance, but he did it anyway, he danced with her. Hahaha! Matty says he enjoyed it, and his objective was to allow himself a break from the game, he was feeling it.

:23 Night falls, then the sun rises on Kota, as Kenny is out in a boat, stuck on a branch, running around in circles. Hahahah! He laughs and says he’s not the outdoors kinda guy. He finally gets free, and he’s feeling like he’s getting to know the game more, and brings home three fishes from the nets. He’s the only man at kota with two beautiful women - who woulda thought the smallest guy would be the provider. He’s proud of himself, and he’ll take anyone out anyway he can. He knows he can win this game.

We check in with bob AHHH SNAKE! at Exile - he takes the clue, and starts looking for the idol. He says he knows he’s in deep doodoo. He finds the crater, and the clue. Then the one at the tree, and then on to the burnt wood - then wading for the hiding place - and the peg is empty. He says it’s the perfect location, but he doesn’t see it. He says this one has him perplexed. He hasn’t left a leaf unturned, maybe Sugar has it. He says he has to do SOMETHING - so he decides to make an idol. Haha! He uses resin from a tree as glue, some other little things he found around, and makes a rather convincing looking fake idol! NICE! Better then Ozzy’s stick! *L*

:30 Fang, day 27. Tree mail! Today it’s not important to be faster, stronger smarter, be the best fire starter… they figure it’s individual. Matty says who can’t start it - they slam on Crystal pretty bad. If there’s a merge, and Randy tells us he’ll puke if he has to see Crystal again - calls her sasquatch, big foot, and tells us he hates her still, everyone knows that.

Immunity Challenge time!

Immunity is back up for grabs - but! Tribal Immunity is not what you seek. Individual immunity is what your playing for - Drop your buffs, you’re merged! Bob says it’s a new lease on life for him, he’s the luckiest gy on Gabon. Matty and Kenny share a hug, and they get new bright blue buffs.

Today’s challenge - only fitting that the first challenge should test how well they’ll do on their own. With flint and steel, fire making supplies, the goal is a fire high and hot enough to burn through the rope to win Immunity. Survivors ready? GO!

Kenny is rocking it, Randy trying to get a spark, Bob trying hard, getting nothing, Randy starting over. Susie is the first to get flame! You hear her come on baby, come on! Matty cuts himself, Sugar has flame! It’s all about Sugar and Susie! Susie continue to grow, no one else is in it! Sugar has an impressive fire! Susie is very close now… she’s pleading with it… Sugar is licking the rope - SUSIE WINS IMMUNITY!!

Wow. Susie is safe - for the rest, TC tonight. Everyone goes back to Fang camp, everything else has been brought to them, they have everything they need for a new name, new flag. Randy says that he hated Fang from the beginning, there’s no way he’ll go back tonight with Crystal - it’s her or him.

:40 Merged tribe! At elast they got all their food, yum! Matty says that it changed the game, there as rise, beans, canned food, coffee - but as soon as the grattitude session was up, people bounced into the jungle and started strategy talking. Randy says Crystal is the way to go. Charlie says that it’s two solid 4s, and sugar is hanging in the middle, but has a mind of her own. It’s a war for sugar.

Corinne and Sugar talk about how they can’t live with Randy anymore. Charlie joins them - and they talk about Tandy some more. Charlie says they need him, they can get him next. Corrine says her whole plan is to stay on sugar, she has to pretend she cares about waht she’s saying, and what she does. She calls her weak, niave - a moron. She was nasty for 20 days, nice for one.

Crystal, susie, Kenny talk to Matty next, and they say Corrine and Charlie have to be broken up - and Corrine is awful. Knny brings up blindsiding CHarlie. He has a personal grudge - he’s the ring leader. He made it up, but everyone listens to him. It looks like CHarlie is who they want, and Kenny says he’s a little rat - mess with him, and your gone. Kenny pulls Sugar aside, and talks to Sugar about blindsiding her. Sugar tells us she’s the lady of the hour, everyone is chomping at the bit. Blah blah balh.

New tribe name? NObag! Gabon Backwards. *L* cute. Sugar points out that she doesn’t trust Kenny, he lied about Ace. She doesn’t trust Crystal, has no allegiance to Randy and Corrine. She says tehre are two sides to the tribe, and both want her. So she has no clue what she’s going to do.

:46 Tribal Council time! There’s Marcus, all clean and showered, to watch from the jury seat.

No talking to the Jury, the game is shifting into their hands slowly. Jeff starts with the reward - Randy, on the verge, all you have to do is pick it up and drop it in, where’d all the tension come from? Randy says that if everyone would shut up and listen to him, it was frustrating. Charlie said he was trying to get them to communicate, and it broke down. Randy - fang, kota - its been don’t miss him, and Crystal says since throwing things out - why does Randy have issues with her? She always sets it out there, what did she do to Randy to have him bash her so much. He says want a list? first 9 days, you made Fang a living hell, her and GC, her and her posse rang the tribe like it was a gang, arrogant and hard to get along with, and the reason they lost all those times. She says ok - you got more, we got nuthing but time.

Jeff says Crystal - you’re pretty open and she says yup, what you see is what you get. Charlie says he’d be concerned if you says stuff just to get things off your chest, you have to process. Kenny - the 9 are together, do opinions change? Kenny says yeah, he likes Charlie. He’s a nice guy. Charlie says that he thought Kenny was great from day one, and they have a friendshipt. Randy says Kenny has grown up, that its not the kenny he saw weeks ago.

Sugar - an advantage to be on exile so long? No opportuity to irritate - she says being away, gives them the chance to talk about her more. She doesn’t talk behind peoples backs, she has a pretty good idea who everyone is. Susie has individual immunity - she keeps it. Everyone else is fair game - it’s time to vote!
