Watching Survivor

-:30 Hey there Survivor Fans! It’s a busy day for this blogger, with Survivor then Big Brother all in one night. My poor lil typing fingers are gonna be overworked for sure! Thanks, as always, to Bobby for streamin the East Coast Shows for me, and if I miss something somewhere, I’ll pop it up if it’s important as soon as the shows are over and as I watch them in my time zone! That said, let’s get it on!

:00 Previously, on Survivor! It’s recap time! 13 are left, who will be voted out tonight?

:02 It’s day 18 at Malakal, and there’s no eggs from the chicken, and the Ozzy doesn’t want to kill them because they lay three eggs every day, and Tracy says “What, you gonna wait until you can have more meat yourself?” she and Ozzy are getting one ach other’s nerves. She doesn’t like that Ozzy is in charge of the tribe and says he’ll win this thing if they don’t get them out of the game. Ozzy knows she’s just scrambling to save her own ass.

:07 At Airai, James is telling us they’re complaining about the rain, but they didn’t get rain because they were in a Cave, and you could be outside getting wet! Deal with the funk, couldn’t have smelled any better before, this is a game called Survivor.

Kathy is crabby, and says one day you’re feeling good, then the next day you feel like crap, today was a crap day. She’s thinking of home and her washer and dryer and her family and it makes her want to cry - she tries an Geenie move, but is still there.

:09 At Malakal, Ozzy is getting coconuts, and Erik says he’s amazing and he wants to grow and learn and he feels he can climb the tree too! Erik and Ozzy are like the Lion King, Cirie says, and that stardust comes out of his mouth whenever he says his name. They’re bonding right now, the girls laugh and watch. Cirie says if Ozzy proposed marriage right now it’d be a done deal.

Ozzy wants to move the boat to the back beach, and asked Cirie for help. She says everyone knows that she’s not a strong swimmer, but she was a team player and helped the row to the back beach. They were out there, and saw the Reef and Ozzy says there’s big fish there, and that they’re not that far from shore. Cirie is still nervous, and Ozzy tells her not to worry. He says there might be a giant clam out there to feed them for the rest of the time.

Cirie is all “Yay reef. Reef.” And says they can have the adventure at her expense today but it won’t happen again.

:12 Challenge time! A traditional money stone - for years they were the currency, larger the stone more worth. Two will be blindfolded as someone guides them through the course. They’ll crush tiles to get smaller stones used for to finish a puzzle. The herbal essance great escapes bath is the Reward - taken to an island where they can get clean, and eat a snack too. Natalie is sitting this one out.

Survivors Ready - go! Cirie is guiding, and Eliza is also doin so as the four members are blindfolded and pushing the money stone. Malakal is following Cirie with not too much trouble. Eliza isn’t doing as well, but they are moments behind as they both smash second tiles - Malakal gets their 3rd tile, as Airai has to go back and forth to get their third. Cirie is not messing around and gets their last pieces and heads to the puzzle.

Airai is right behind them, Erik Cirie and Ozzy are working on the puzzle for Malakal, Eliza, James and Kathy working it for Airai. They aren’t making much progress, but Malakal things they’re getting closer - they think they have it and MALAKAL WINS REWARD!

:16 They choose Jason to go to exile island, and Tracy takes one for the team, misses out on reward and heads to EI with Jason. Airai heads back to camp and Malakal heads to the boat and their reward with a squeal of delight.

:17 Commercial.

:21 It’s clean up and snack time - watermelon, cookies, and Ozzy says it was funny to see Erik experience reward for the first time since he’d been there - he was like a wide eyed kid in a candy store and it made Ozzy proud to bring him in and experience it. Amanda and Ozzy head to the shower, and call Ami over too, and Amanda gets Naked as Cirie says my goodness, there’s a couple pairs of boobs and ozzy’s head in the middle, the only thing funnier was Erik drooling on the side - she says if you feel free like that, by all means. I just wouldn’t do it!

Ozzy says it was the most perfect thing he could hope for.

:22 at Airai, it’s raining again and they’re complaining again and Kathy says it’s completely different, at home they don’t show that you’re being rained on for 5-6 hours non-stop. They had to stand there, and James went to get a clam, and they sat there and ate it raw and was digging in with the hands like there were an animal and it was full of sand and dirt and it’s savagery, it’s like your cavemen. Never would she do it twice.

Nighttime, and they head to the cave, and Kathy goes on about not knowing what is dead and crawling, as a Bat flys by, and there’s bats and rats and crawly things, it’s so uncomfortable and so unpleasant and she said it was the dumbest thing she’d ever done in her life.

:24 The next morning finds Kathy on a boat, and says “When I woke up, I hadn’t gotten any sleep” and she was looking for strength and couldn’t find it, and she begs James for one more hug to get her through the day. James tells her it’s ok, everyone has their days. Kathy tells us she was sending vibes to her daughter, and it sounds silly but she couldn’t feel her, couldn’t feel her family, and she breaks down in tears. She says it’s a downward spiral and she can’t take another minute, and she’s telling the girls she can’t take it, and she wants them to be ok and not hate her but she can’t do it, she can’t. They tell her to be 100% sure, and they say they all feel like that, and not trying to make light of it, but it’s just a hard day.

They walk her down to the water, and she says she wants them to get a boat and take her away, that she’s trying too hard. Parvati says that she just was really depressed, she’s quitting the game, she can’t do it anymore. The boat comes, and Jeff comes to talk to her, and says that he got word that she was done. He sits next to her and asks what’s going on - its been 19 days, and she says she can’t feel her family, and she’s never leaving them again ever for this amount of time. Jeff asks her what’s going on, and says she weathered all the time at Exile and now she’s giving up - he just wants to understand. She says she doesn’t want to hurt her Tribe, but it’s the first decision for her, she doesn’t want anyone to think she’s quitting.

Jeff says the adventure means different things to different people, and she gave it her best, everything will be ok. She says she’s out of there, and gets her stuff. The tribe hugs Kathy and says goodbye, and she apologizes as she heads off. James says she’s been through a lot, but lost her motivation, so why suffer. He says it’s up to her, it’s sad, but you can’t fault her or be upset with her, and he hopes she has a good trip and he’ll see her again. Jeff says the game continues - see you soon, and he takes Kathy off on the boat.

:30 Alexis says that it’s sad, but Survivor continues for the rest of them since they had to build a fire and get water and a cooked meal as the sun is going down. Survivor goes on.

:31 Commercial.

:34 We’re back at Malakal, and Cirie is talking to Amanda about seeing Ozzy’s real side, that there’s a selfish arrogant part to him. Amanda laughs and says it’s sad. And Cirie says if she got that out of the trip, getting Amanda to see that, he got something out.

They talk about Erik’s adoration of Ozzy and she wonders how they’ll be able to get rid of Erik next, and Ozzy won’t want to do it. Amanda says they’ll let him think he’s in control, and do it anyway.

:35 Immunity Challenge. Jason and Tracy join from Exile, and they explain what happened with Kathy. She sent word that she was quitting, had enough needs to go, and she quit. Both tribes are now at 6. Immunity is now back up for grabs.

On Go - one member will race across the floating bridge to a platform, holding a rope. one the bridge, clip the rope to the puzzle pieces, hang on, get pulled back, repeat times 5 until you can use them all to solve the puzzle making a perfect square.

Eliza and Ozzy are the first ones out, and Ozzy is first but not by much, Airiah takes a long time to get going, giving Ozzy a bigger lead, and ozzy unclips and heads out again! Airai lost a lot of time right off the bat, they unclip and Jason is now out for Airai as Ozzy heads back in with the second bundle! Jason struggles, and Erik is on the course as Airai heads back with the second bundle. Erik struggles on the bridge, and they start hauling him back in. Parvati is on the course and we’re tied 2 bundles each!

Parvati struggles on the bridge, as Ozzy heads out for number 4, showing he has no trouble with the bridge at all, they haul him back as Airai heads out for number 4, Ozzy is surfing like he’s on a boogie board, and heads out for number five as Natalie heads out for number 4 for Airai!

Ozzy looks tired, but heads out and heads back with the fifth and final piece. Natalie is being pulled back for number 4… Malakal has Amanda and Cirie working on the puzzle for Malakal as Airai heads out for the last bundle - Eliza clips in and gets back with their final piece!

Jason and Eliza are working on the puzzle for Airai, as Cirie and Amanda get working - they have a big lead, as the tribe members talk them through on the outside. Jason and Eliza spread them all out and look for a pattern as Malakal slow down. Cirie and Amanda are taking their time as Eliza and Jason are working on one last piece - will it fit? YES! AIRAI WINS IMMUNITY!

:42 For the 3rd straight time, Malakal is headed to Tribal Council tonight. Commercial.

:45 We’re back, and Amanda apologizes to Ozzy about the puzzle, and he says it’s alright, and he says none of them will go home. Ozzy says they need to keep Erik, and wants to vote out Tracy. Ami says that she can work more with Tracy and sometimes you have to pull the dirty card to win the game. So the three girls want to vote for Erik, and Ami is hatching a plan to get rid of Ozzy instead. Ami will tell Amanda and Cirie will vote Erik, Ozzy will vote for Tracy, while Tracy, Erik and Ami vote for Ozzy and kick him out. They approach Erik, and he says that to pull it off, they’ll have to pull in Cirie and Amanda.

Tracy pulls the girls aside, to see what they’ll say. Ami says she’ll vote for Erik, and Cirie and Amanda don’t say anything - but step aside to talk and they say yeah, they’ll go for Erik. Cirie says she’s nervous about it, and Amanda says that if she was set on Erik being gone, he would be - if she goes against Ozzy, she’d be kissing that relationship goodbye, but it’d be inevitable that you’re gonna hurt someone’s feelings.

Ami is still going both ways in her head - is she gonna take Ozzy out, or vote out one of the fans. It could change the game in a serious way.

:49 Tribal Council!

This tribe is obviously in trouble - they’ve lost 3 straight challenges, and the only reason they’re halfway in it is because Penner left due to medical and Kathy quit. They say Ozzy is the leader of the tribe, you do what he says. Ozzy says he does what needs to be done, but he doesn’t feel he’s the leader and doesn’t tell them what to eat win. Jeff asks Cirie who’s leading it - she agrees with Tracy to a point, she says maybe he’s not a leader, but everyone checks with Ozzy first. Eirk says no one wants to be the leader, and he’s doing so much for the tribe - if he was gone, they’d fall apart faster then they are already. Jeff tells them tehre’s two tracks - short term, challenges, long term, who will win? And Ami says you have to play your cards when they make the most sense.

Ozzy says that it makes him concerned, and he isn’t so naïve not to know they want him gone, and he says if he’s a threat and want to get rid of him fine, but another strategy is to keep the tribe strong. Tracy says flat out she’s less of a threat then Ozzy to the girls. Black and white.

It’s time to vote.
Ozzy votes for Tracy “You said your honest, and that’s bull.”
Tracy says “You wanted me out, good player, no hard feelings” as she writes down Ozzy’s name.

Time to tally the votes! If anyone has the Hidden Immunity Idol and wants to play it, now’s the time. No one plays it.

The Votes: Tracy, Ozzy, Tracy, Tracy, Tracy. That’s 4 that’s enough, Tracy is voted off the island.

Jeff says that tonights vote was big for one reason, you have to start winning challenges. They head back to camp, and that’s it for this episode of Survivor!

Next time: Ami and Cirie go on the warpath, and parvati makes new friends, as the injuries continue to pile up!
