Monday interview roundup!
So, what do we think of our new season so far? Any stand out favorites? While I think that Coach is going to go far, I have a feeling his arrogance will get him in the end - people can only take RAR ME MANLY MAN for so long, ya know? (Me, for about 2.6 seconds before I go all I WOMAN, RARSMASH! on the culprit… there’s a reason I don’t go on these shows, ya’ll - and not just because no one wants to see all THIS in a bikini…
)
I love JT. First and foremost because I don’t even have o look up his name because he has such a distinctive good ole homeboy accent. I’m a sucker for an accent, and it helps that he’s cute as all hell too. Added benefit of being strong, as well as likeable, and I think he can go far.
BTW - what’s a pace?! HA! Gotta love a woman who when asked if she’s a little bit crazy, completely owns it and says “No, I’m a LOTTA bit crazy.” Way to put it out there, Sandy. Now if you could just figure out what a pace is, you could last a while. Heh.
Poor Sierra! Strep throat and fever and doing her best to play anyway? AND built a shelter by herself? Good show.
Who are the ones that stood out to you? The first couple episodes are always such a frenzy of putting new names to new faces - it’s easy to get lost - but dish, darlings! Who’s your early first impression favorite?
As for the interviews with Carolina - you can find them here:
Reality News Online, Survivor Fans Podcast, and Reality TV Watch.
Some things to look forward too in this episode? The always enjoyable physical challenge that has folks trying to maim and drown each other, as well as Taz getting outed about her NFL player hubby, and her modeling days - and? The reveal of what “exile island” will be this time around, including a twist.
Which I know - so if you want to know, it’s after the cut!
According to sources, Exile island is extremely harsh - a giant sand dune, and two people will go at a time. The challenge winners will pick a loser, then that loser will pick someone from the winning tribe to join them. once there, they will find two eggs - they choose who gets which one, crack them open to find one empty, and the other with a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol that is back at camp. How will this affect the game? Time will tell!

Lessa: Thanks for the postings, photos, interviews, and links. I read Jeff Probt’s blog and he seems very excited about this cast.
It’s too difficult to predict a winner right now, so I’ll share my initial thoughts on who I think will NOT win Survivor this season.
1. Bus driver lady is not going to win - we already had a contestant just like her (remember Denise Martin, aka Lunch Lady?)
2. Spencer is not going to win; he’s young, strong, motivated, and seems like a good guy….people are going to realize he is not someone they’d want to be up against if they make it to the finale. I think he’ll make it to the merge but that’s when the other players will realize he’s too big a threat to keep around.
3. Jerry (the army sergeant) - I like him a lot and believe he’ll last a good 3-5 episodes, but I think people will view him as a future threat and as a result, blindside him. He’ll be able to win challenges, provide food, and also make others laugh….that’s pretty making yourself a target. He needs to be more sneaky I think!
