Pirate Master Recap EP 12!

Last time on Pirate Master…. They’ve discovered that the forever long recaps are redundant, and this one is relatively short. Considering. With 11 pirates gone, who will become Pirate Master?
We rejoin our pirates with Jay and Ben talking below deck, and Jay telling us that he doesn’t care, he didn’t come here to make friends. Ben knows he’s been playing all sides since the beginning of the game. He goes to talk to Christa about it, and how they just now figured it out, thanks to Kendra. The know he can’t be trusted, and decide they need to get rid of him.
Christa says this game is only going to be dirty because Jay made it that way. It’s his fault.
Man I’m gonna miss the scenery of Pirate Master when it’s all said and done! Laurel is extremely laid back, and keeps away from the whispering. She says not having a strategy is working for her, so she’s gonna keep with it.
Pirates to the Quarter Deck!
This treasure was hidden by the astronomer, who charted by the stars.
Black Crew: Christa, Ben, and Jay
Red Crew: Laurel, Louie
Louie is hoping to break his losing streak. Ben is worried about Christa and him being on the same team as Jay. Fight for your flag!
The pirates swim to shore, and hike up the trail to the crescent moon, where they’ll find the next crew. Black crew gets to shore first, Laurel arrives finally and she and Louie head up the mountain trail. It’s the most difficult hill they’ve had to go up yet. Black Crew arrives first, and Jay is confident, and finds their next crew. With map in hand, they have to choose one of two paths, and must choose carefully or run into booby-traps. Louie calls the hill Heart Attack Hill.
Black Crew gets netted! They took the wrong path, and set off a trap, just as the Red Crew gets up at the top of the hill and find the moon. The Black Crew comes back, and chooses another trail. Louie gets confident, as Ben demands the others hustle. They come to a field with rock formations, and search for the next clue. Black Crew finds the puzzle, and gets it put together, and using the puzzle they have to find the Saturn Rock formation to find their next clue.
Red Crew gets there, and Laurel and Louie are neck and neck. They search for it, and Christa redoes the puzzle, and the Black Crew has the wrong one. Louie and Laurel check all the planets instead of finding their H. It’s hard to see the right one without going up on the hill again.
Louie and Laurel are lost in space. Christa suggests that they go up the hill instead and check another area. Christa has a gut feeling, and found the next clue. The Black Crew takes the lead! Now they have to find the right planet configuration and dig for the treasure halfway between Earth and Mars. Jay is confident. Louie and Laurel see the digging, just as Jay pulls the treasure from the ground, and Black Crew wins again!
Ben is happy, because it means he’s safe, and they’ll put Jay on the black spot. Louie is disappointed, and frustrated, of course. The Crews swim back to the Picton Castle to count their treasure: $30k. Christa knows that she has a difficult position. She appreciates Jay for his aggressiveness and smart game play, but then again, it might be time to cut him adrift. Ben and Christa discuss it, and hope they can trust each other. Christa worries that Jay will flip out if he gets black spot. Christa knows that sometimes when you fear something, that means it’s the right thing to do and decides to give Jay a heads up and let him know because she’d want the same done for her. And Ben is “crazy tense right now!”
Jay is feeling good, but notes that everyone is a little sketchy, and Jay feels the need to separate people. Jay tells Christa that the talk about getting rid of her was Ben’s brainchild. She asks that they talk all together, and get to the bottom of it. Jay says that he had to play both sides of the fence to play the game, and Ben says strategy talk was for them to get rid of her, but it was just talks. Ben points the finger at Jay, and Jay denies it of course. He knows the whole plan has exploded into a mess, and he’s quite close to be cast adrift. Christa is in tears, as the boys fight it out. Christa knows when a man’s lying and she rolls her eyes, and decides to talk to everyone individually.
WHAT IS IT WITH MOMS SWEARING ON THEIR KIDS? Christa just pulls a Whamber Card from Big Brother and swears on her daughter’s life that she won’t give Ben the black spot. Jay tries to pull the guilt card on Christa, while Ben and Louie talk about getting rid of him. Jay offers to let her take the whole thing. She’ll send a crying girl home, stab a stand up guy in the back, whatever it takes. Christa knows he played the game harder then anyone else.
Laurel says that Jay is a liar - as outside Jay tells Ben he was solid with the three of them. And Laurel tells Christa that Ben has promised her as the final two as well. The Majority wants Jay black spotted, and Christa is unsure what to do.
Christa tells that the decision was made because of information gained - the spots were given to a liar, and someone she wants to stay and is a pawn. She just drops the letters on the deck, and walks away. She doesn’t blackspot Jay! Laurel has it, as does Ben. Looks like Laurel’s last ditch effort did not work!
Louie says he won’t vote for Laurel. Ben confronts Jay, and tells him he can make up his turning on him by making sure that he gets to stay. Now is the time he needs to stand up for Ben. Jay’s not thoroughly convinced.
Pirates to Midships! Welcome to Pirate’s Court.
Christa says she marked Laurel because she’s hard to read and doesn’t discuss her strategy and never says anything about anything. She marked Ben, to find out wants to get her out. She wants to go to the end against the best players.
Laurel says she deserves to be there because she plays fair, she’s not making the same promises to everyone. She isn’t hiding anything, she’s there to play her way. Ben’s been part of many groups, and doesn’t feel he can be trusted. Louie says it’s tough to see Laurel up there, as well as Ben, but his bond is with Laurel. Both shouldn’t be cut adrift, but one of them will be. Jay says you have to weigh who you think you can beat, against who you’re tight with. Bad things go through your mind when you think about the money for sure.
Ben says he cares too much about being here, and sometimes says something stupid. He says Christa would be difficult to go against, and he cares about her, and everyone else. He feels like brothers with Jay, and you can’t make it to the end by yourself - he’s not scared to humble himself and knows he’s walking on eggshells. He’ll do whatever’s necessary, he’s not ready to go. He wants it with every bit of his body and soul. Jay says he’s struggling with his bond with Ben, and knows he was doing what he could to discredit him. Does he have it in his heart to give him another chance?
CUE DRAMATIC DRUMS! CUE VIOLINS!
Two pirates, two ballots, let’s see what you’ve done.
There are no ballots for mutiny, but she’s not off the hook - the vote is a tie. Christa must choose who to cut adrift. She says she bases her decisions on feelings and relationships and it makes her sad because she thought she and Ben had a friendship that was strong. She said she wanted to be in the end with the strongest competitors, and she’s sorry, but will have to cut Laurel adrift.

Ben and Jay share a smile, and a hug. As do Ben and Louie, as they watch Christa cut Laurel adrift. She says it’s ok, because she doesn’t mind because she doesn’t want to play their way and will be happy going back to her Van.
Next time: The final four forgive, but Christa doesn’t forget. Jay and Ben realize they are being played and says there’s always the option for mutiny!
