Watching Survivor

Here they are, our 18 castaways for Survivor Gabon!

We’ve some old folks, a doctor, a lawyer, a professional video game champion (Yes, really), a pin-up girl, an Olympic athlete and more… We’ve overconfidence and people destined to fail, the nice guys and the assholes… as well as folks ho have lived in South africa, London and Chile - it seems this season, we’ll have it all!

This year, we will still have Exile (aka - Exile Island without the Island part), though when you go, you can get a clue that points to the hidden immunity idol, or get “instant comfort” - a nice thing to sleep on, food or fruit. Jeff Probst (aka - Mr. Dimples) says “Depending on the time, we’ll make the temptation bigger and bigger. The idea was to see if anybody would be dumb enough to choose comfort over the only thing that guarantees you to stick in the game, immunity.” So, did it work? Not really according to Jeff. “By the time this season is over? You can make the case that maybe this is the dumbest team when it comes to idol play.”

Oh. Goody.

Of course, we also know that this season will be shot entirely in HD, putting the jungle in our living rooms. (or your living room - as I have an old tv. Whatever. I’m not jealous. Much.) Speaking of wildlife in the living room, elephants visit a tribe camp in what he calls a “truly real, raw moment.”

The tribes will be picked in good, old fashioned schoolyard pick, which leads right into the first challenge. There aren’t any hardcore showmances, but one player, Dr. Marcus, proves popular even though he’s the most arrogant guys they’ve had on the show. More so then Boston Rob? This I gotta see… Apparently there were 3 people after him, and not only women. Well then!

The premiere has been pushed back till September 25th, when we’ll get a full two hours of Survivor: Gabon goodness! I can’t wait!
