-:09 Nine minutes to go, and I’ll be recappin away! Only one hour tonight, one episode, one person cast off by the tribes they’ve come to love and loathe… who will it be? Stay tuned! Thanks, as always to Bobby for streaming east coast time for us west coast folks!
:00 Previously on Survivor… here we go kids! 16 are left, who will be voted out tonight?
:02 Fang, night 6, and they just got back from Tribal Council and Crystal is happy they got rid of their weak link. Everyone is ready for the next day, but Randy doesn’t believe its possible that they can win. He thinks they’re stupid, they don’t know they’re complete idiots, but they are.
:03 Roll Intro and Commercial!
:06 We’re back, and it’s day 7 on Fang. They’re making some rice. Randy says they’re halfway through with rice, because someonehad the bright idea of having three meals a day, but it’s Survivor. He tries to get the tribe to go down to two - and everyone agrees, except GC, who says that he threw away rice the first couple days because people made too much. Randy tells us GC is the cancer in the tribe and they’ll continue to have problems until it’s excised. Randy and GC get into it a little bit, GC wants to know if Randy was the leader, Randy doesn’t want to be, and tells GC to drop it. GC says he can ask whatever he wants.
Dan listens to this and tells us they’re not pulling together as a team. They’d ahve a better chance if they thought like a team.
Back on Kota, it’s fishing time! The girls cheer on Charlie and Marcus, and Charlie gives us the rundown. They feel they can use Bob, but are somewhat concerned that the other five will band together, though theyr’e too flighty, so it’s ok.
Paloma and Jacque chat about how they think Ace is king and everyone bow down, meanwhile Ace and Sugar watch, and Sugar says Ace will take care of her. Tree mail! They’ll be playing for comfort, kicking and screaming. They talk about who should sit out, and Paloma points out to us again that everyone bows down to Ace, and she can see right through it.
Challenge time!
Today’s reward challenge -one member will be at the post, 2 members of the other tribe will try to pull them from the post and drag them to the sand to the finish. 1 point per. You can swap positions, 2 points win. PLaying for blankets, pillows, hammock, mat, and sending a loser to exile.
Ken sits out, and Corrine, Jaquie Kellie sit out for Fang.
Dan is first on the post for Fang, Ace for Kota - Ace yawns, surprising Jeff. Survivor’s ready? GO! Dan hangs on tight, and mAtty and GC try to pull of ace. Marcus and Charlie have Dan off the post, Ace proving strong for Kota, as Marcus and Charlie inch Dan toward the finish line - Kota is close and Ace is still on the post, GC gives up, KOTA SCORES FIRST!
Ace gives Paloma tips, she takes the post. Susie takes the post for Kota. Randy an Crystal go for Paloma, and drag her quickly - and they’re tied one one!
Original matchup - Ace and Dan, with marcus and bob for Kota, Crystal and Matty for Fang. Final round, for reward. Fang is desperate for victory Survivors ready? GO! They dig deep, Dan is holding type, Ace isn’t budging, who wants it more? They get the top half of Ace off the post, Crystal works on the legs, Dan barely hanging on as Crysta and Matty get Ace off the post and start dragging him. Ace tries to get away and is tackled - Crystal starts dragging, Kota getting close to fist victory! Ace knocks Crystal down - Dan screaming for help. Matty is pulling Ace - Who has the will!? FANG WINS REWARD!
Crystal is in tears, and she says it was worth it, and they send Sugar to exile. She says she knew, because they think she’s dumb, but they don’t know her. They give her a map and she heads off. Kota, nothing for ya, head back to camp, Fang get your reward.
:17 Commercial!
:21 We’re back, and Fang is celebrating! Crystal says the challenge felt good. Dan says that he got his energy from them, it was great. Matty tells us that they finally feel like a tem and it feels good.
Meanwhile at Kota, Ace calls it a strategic reversal. They say it was a good strategy, and point out one of their strongest was a gril. Paloma tells us Crystal is huge, she knows she had no chance. It was weird that Ace put her there - but Ace is his way or the high way. It was frustrated, it was hard watching Paloma give up. Ace says it sealed what they were thinking - crossed the t’s on her contract.
At Exile, Sugar has to make her choice… she knows it would have been nice, but it would have been stupid to take comfort. So she gets the clue to the hidden idol. She freaks when she finds a bunch of spiders, as an elephant watches her she says she doesn’t like to be dirty, to camp. She figures she’s gone too far, and heads back the way she came… except she’s lost. She did Surivor to help her grow up a little and deal with her dad’s death, and she’s teary, and trying to keep it together. She has to say in survival mode. Playing the game will help her.
Sugar finds the crater! and starts looking… she finds clue number two. She’s gaining confidence as shec limbs the tree - and says she’s a lot tougher then she thought. She starts trying to find the burnt wood - and…..yet another clue. Time to waaaaaade in the waaaater. She FINDS IT! Sugar has the Hidden Immunity Idol, and can’t believe she found it and the Lawyer didn’t. She feels her dad helped her.
:28 Commercial!
:31 We’re back, at Kota on Day 9, where Bob is talking about who are the weakest, Paloma and Sugar, as he talks to Ace. Ace says that they can trust Sugar longer then Paloma. Bob tells us that Ace is putting a target on him, by protecting sugar. Bob talks to Corinne and how he makes her nervous. Corinne says that she has Jaquie, Marcus, charlie, and if they feel Bob is part of them, they’re together. They have the majority, they’re 5, lock it up. They know they need Bob for numbers.
Tree mail! Who is bright, who is slow.. and they get their swimsuits too. Marcus says that crushing the hope of the other tribe will send them farther into despair.
Immunity is up for grabs - today, one at a time, it’s a slip and slide into the water, swim out to get a tile and race back. The numbered tiles are a puzzle, they are a combination to a chest, first to open it and raise the flagwins. Paloma and Sugar sit out for Kota.
Bob and Ken are waiting to solve the puzzle, everyone else is sliding- Survivor’s ready? GO! Crystal and Kelly go first, both in the water in the same time. Crystal can run in the water to get her puzzle piece because she’s so tall. Susie on the course - Fang has a good sized lead. Corinne hits the course… Susie has piece number two, Corinne is headed back, making up time then takes the lead. Charlie is up, then GC who FLINGS himself down the slide, Kota has 3 tiles, Fang with 2, Kota in the lead. Randy is on the course… Randy needs to pick it up, but Fang loses more time - Kota has one more left, Fang has two. Marcus heads out for the final clue for Kota, as Dan sends out Matty to try and make time for Fang. Marcus has the final number for Kota!
Bob has to solve the puzzle, Matty has the final number and Ken has to race and catch up. Physics teacher head to head with a Gamer.. Need to concentrate, read it carefully… Bob thinks he has it - he’s wrong! Ken thinks he has it, tries it - not right. Still working…Bob thinks he figures it out, Ken tries again, they both try the combo… Bob is wrong… Ken has it! and FANG WINS IMMUNITY!
Back to back wins for Fang, Kota is going to Tribal Council tonight, where a third person will be voted out of the game. Jeff asks fang if they’ll miss them, Crystal laughs and says he needs to get to know them better. They head back to camp.
:40 Commercial!
:44 We’re back, at Kota. They’re asking Sugar about the clues, the idol, and she says she read it wrong, and tells us that she hid it pretty well and she’s better then she thought at this. She tells Ace that she found it, and Ace say hang up for it, and it sets their game up. Ace says that hopefully they’ll dominate the game. They think Paloma is gone, then Kelly. They’re prepping for TC, and the dismissal of Paloma. The Onion Four are sticknig to the plan with paloma as well, while Paloma is watching and tells us she’ll pounce and eat it up. She tells Corinne that he’s made an alliance withe veryone and is trying to get rid of her, not Sugar, and Ace is running the game, he’s sneaky. She thinks they might want him out as he’s strong, and Corinne wants to see what she can dig up. She thinks Ace is a con artist.
Corinne goes straight to Charlie to tell everyone what’s going on. They agree that Ace is leading stuff, and it’s ture - it’s a problem. If he’s there to the merge, it’s a problem. Charlie says that it’s a benefit to get out the weaker players, but Ace is dangerous. Corinne tells Charlie that Ace told Bob that he’s taking Sugar to the end period. She doesn’t know what’s going to happen for sure…
and it’s time for Tribal Council!
Time to grab a torch and get Fire. Corinne what do you base your vote on, and she hopes for a little discention as possible, and come to a group concensuse. Ace says that to strengthen the tribe is the most important thing. jeff asks Sugar about exile, and what does she draw on - she says she thought about her dad, and gets teary again, and Jeff points out it has to be tough. Sugar says she missed everyone. Two ways to play with the idol, don’t try to flush it, I have it, or I don’t have it. Marcus agrees and says that if Sugar has it, she’s hiding it, which is what she’d do. He says there is a lot of interesting people on the trip, and Ace for sure. Paloma says Ace is the head hancho at the site. She says he can be the big guy all he wants, but she’s not even gonna go there, no Ace is her hero type thing, he’s not her hero. Ace isn’t particularly surprised, says they rub each other the wrong way. Kelly says he’s an asset sometimes, but he can be condenscending… Jeff asks if Ace is concerned.. and he says of course, you can’t walk in without being scared. Paloma points out he doesn’t have his bag, can’t be too worried. He says nothing he wanted was there.
Jeff says Ace and Paloma might be brother and sister in a past life. No one can vote for Marcus since he had the first immunity from the first challenge, everyone else is fair game. Time to vote! Naturally Paloma and Ace vote for each other…
Time to tally the votes! Sugar does not play the HII.
The votes: Paloma, Ace, Ace (Ace looks surprised! Paloma smiles..), Paloma, Paloma, Paloma, Paloma - that’s 5, that’s enough.
Truth is - Fang now has the momentum. Can you get it back? Head back to camp, goodnight!
Next time, on Survivor… A tribe divided, divides again, and turns the game upside down.
