Watching Survivor

-:15 Hey there Survivor Fans! Just setting up this post for the As It Happens Recap of tonights Episode 4. Who do you think will go? Who gets the idol? Who will topple me from the top spot on the Survivor Pool Party? These are the questions we all want answers too… Answer’s that will come over the next hour! Thanks, as always, to Bobby at Live East Coast Feed who’s kind enough to play Survivor for us west coasters at East Coast time!

:00 Previously, on Survivor! It’s recap time, folks! 17 are left, who will be voted out tonight?

:02, We’re back at the camp with the Faves, where the talking begins, and Ami says she’s sorry she wrote her name down. jonathan jumpes in and Cirie says “I wasn’t even talking to you!” Jonathan says she’s much more manipulative and devious then he is. Cirie tells us that he’s mad he couldn’t make her vote the way she wanted too. Cue the fight we saw on the previews. Cirie doesn’t have to listen to him, cuz she’s grown. *L*

:07 At the Fans camp, they start talking about who they think went home. Joel says they’re pleased to have won and it was good for them. They catch an eel! Dinner time for the Fans! Natalie says you have to do what you need to do, all she’s done is keep her head down and work. She doesn’t think Chet is pulling his weight and she’s not the only one. MikeyB says Chet is weak and is a physical and mental liability and he’s gone.

At the Favorites, Eliza is feeling sick, says her ears hurt and such - and James says she needs to suck it up. He says they were stupid to not get rid of her last night. James says they wanted to keep the strong people, but Cirie was hell bent on getting out Yau-Man out, and it was a big mistake. James says it in front of everyone, and Eliza is all “I’m sitting right here!” he says yeah and “you’re about to die!” and She says she’ll do better in any challenge today then Yau-man would have. Eliza complains to us that they’re making her feel like crap. She tells the guys that their attitude makes her not want to do well at all, and tells us she hates these people. Hahah.

:11 Challenge time!

Fans get their first look at the new tribe without Yau-Man. Here’s how it works, 4 member swimp to the platform, dive down to the cage containing coconuts, lettered ones are removed and put in a bin, swim it to the shore where the rest of the members unscramble for reward. Reward is three egg laying hens, 1 rooster, chicken feed and they’ve already laid eggs. Two members will go to Exile Island.

:13 Here we go - for reward! Survivor’s ready, GO!

All four tribe members have to be on the platform before the first member dives. Ozzy and Jason are out first, searching for the coconut with letters. Ozzie spends a lot of time underwater, as Jason has to com up for air - Jason gets the first coconut for the fans and Mikey B is next out. Ozzy is moving SEVERAL coconuts at once. Mikey B is up for the second coconut, and Ozzy FINALLY comes up with one coconut. Penner is in the water and hits to the front of the cage where Ozzy has placed the coconuts - Tied 2 each. Now Favorites have three, now four! Ozzy’s strategy is paying off as the Fans pull up another coconut. Jason in the water, and Faves have 5-3!

There are ten coconuts total, Faves have six! Ami in the water, as MikeyB is in the water for the fans, Ami has number 7! Mikey comes up with number 5, Natalie has number 6 for the Fans, Ozzy is under water again and pulls them all forward, puts number 8 in the bin, Penner gets number 9, and ozzy hits the water again for number ten - the Fans are unclipping and swimming back to the shore - Favorites are on the move as the Fans get number 8.

The Favorites haul the bin to shore and the other’s head to the puzzle to unscramble - James has the word, says it, and they spell it right as Mikey gets number 9 - FAVORITES WIN REWARD!

They send Kathy out to exile island again, and ozzy joins her. Fans - got nuthin for ya, head back to camp, and Faves get their reward!

:21 And we’re back as Joel says it’s a bummer to lose a challenge and they’re living the life of luxury compared to what they have. They say Ozzy is INSANE. They’re confident that she’s not looking for the idol, and trying to stay alive. Aww.

:22 Kathy is all in awe about Ozzy, and says each time she’s there, she learns something, as he opens a coconut for her. She says she’s not going to look for the Idol, he goes to find food, and she says she’ll try to start a fire. Ozzy, instead, is reading the clues and searching for the idol. Kathy sits back and drinks water, as he finds clue number two. He’s hoping to find it before the sun goes down. He finds clue number three. He says it’s key to find it because a lot of people out there want to beat him. He find the other clue, and heads back to the beach - and finds the HII! Ozzy has the Hidden Immunity Idol, and says he can relax a little, he just needs to be sly enough to sneak it in his hat. He starts the fire, gets the Idol into his bag, and all’s good in the hood

(AUGH SNAKE! EW)

He’s taking a lesson from Yau-man, and starts to wittle a fake idol. Kathy comes up and asks if he’s looking for food, and he holds up a spiny starfish. She wanders off once more, and he’s giggling as he hides his fake idol. Hhahahahah!

:30 We’re back with the Favorites, as the rooster crows, and Cirie talks to Charlie and tells him it’s the last goodbye. Eliza says she feels for him cuz she’s headed for the slaughter house too. Eliza talks to Parvati and Eliza tells us that she loves that Jonathan is pissing people off, and he’s walking up right behind them as they’re talking about them. He says he’s heard them talking and it’s painful to watch someone on the outside trying to get on the inside and he feels sorry for Eliza. Parvati says that Eliza is just trying to save herself and she understands that.

:32 It’s Immunity Challenge time!

Jeff says it wasn’t as much tough as it was an opportunity to find the Idol, and Ozzy plays it off, says it was harder to find then he thought it would be. Once again, Immunity is back up for grabs. 6 members will go to a large, six point sliding hub. Find the key that unlocks your hug, then maneuver through the forest to collect necklaces to solve the puzzle that creates phrase “Tribe stays intact.”

Tracy sits out - Chet and Kathy solving puzzle, Cirie and Eliza for the Faves. On your mark - go! All six get into the harness, and the Faves are in first and start unlocking, ozzy has his undone, James works on his, and gets undown as the Fans start unlocking theirs, Erik can’t find his, and passes it. Ami working on her lock, and Faves are halfway unlocked. Ami next, as Penner starts, and Joel has his unlocked and passes off. The Faves only have one lock and Amanda gets her’s fast, and they start working the course.

Faves are figuring out how to maneuver the sliding poles and hub to work together. Ami has the first necklace, as the Faves make quick work of the course. Parvatie has the second necklace, as the fans FINALLY get unlocked! Ozzy has a necklace for the faves, and the Fans are having trouble making their way, as James gets a necklace and the Faves are headed back with all necklaces! Fans are just now getting their first neclace - experience CLEARLY paying off for the Favorites as their back and it’s time to solve the puzzle!

Have to match the tribe colored beads with the correct letters - they get the first word! Eliza and Cirie making quick work of it as the Fans have half of their necklaces. They get the second word - and working on the last one as they arrange the necklaces. FAVES WIN IMMUNITY!

:43 We’re back with the Faves as they trudge back to camp. Chet heads straight right out to the water, and Mikey B says the tribe of misfits has lost again, not even close, and he intends to keep Joel around as long as he can until before the merge when he’ll cut his head off. He and Joel talk about Chet vs. Kathy. He tries to work a deal to join forces, and give a little to get a little.

Meanwhile, Kathy and Tracy are talking about sticking together with Chet, but say he needs to suck it up. Tracy thinks he can go home easily tonight, which is one of her votes, then Kathy and she’d be next. Chet says his mind is in the game, but his body is out - it’s not his choice. Tracy tries to keep them to suck it up and stick together. She says she may not have power, but she’ll not go down without a fight. (GAH SNAKE)

Joel tells the others to vote Chet or Kathy, but MikeB will go, but not tonight. Tracy tells Joel that he’s letting Mikey call the shots, and she’s angry about it. He says he knows MikeyB took Mary’s eviction personal, and he asks Tracy what she’s hearing. She says nothing, she’s intuitive, there’s 9 people, and if he gets one more, and they’ll get MikeyB out. She says if one of them is gone, they can’t help him anymore, but with Five, they can. Chet, Kathy and Tracy are voting Mikey B. After Joel leaves, Chet says “It’s me, tonight.”

:48 Tribal Council.
Jeff starts off telling them they’ll be even with the Faves after the vote, and asks Jason if they’re really even. He says that they have the advantage, but if they vote right, they’ll be an stronger tribe. Joel says it’s extremely important that they keep the team strong and vote out the weaker players. Chet says he will own up to being a weaker performer, but he feels good other then the first challenge. MikeyB says Chet’s been exhausted for four days straight, he doesn’t have the strength to compete. Tracy steps up and says she sat out, chet sat out and Kathy set out and they lost those three - how does that make them strong.

MikeB makes the comment that they have to vote as they said they would, give a little trust to get a little. Joel says there’s not just physical strength, but it doesn’t mean he’ll be the best. Erik says your right, you can run into a wall 100 times, but it’s not the best way to get rid of the bowl. As they call for the vote, Joel interrupts Jeff and says remember, think carefully before you vote. Again, Jeff says it’s time to vote.

:52 Time to tally the votes.

Jeff asks for the HII, but o one has it to play. The Votes: Chet, Chet, MikeyB, MikeyB, Chet, MikeyB, MikeyB, MikeyB

(…..Gah! Idiots.)

Jeff says tonight’s vote was a big vote - whether or not it’s the right decision, time will tell.

:57 Next time, on Survivor: Drop your buffs - you’re switching tribes, and a physical challenge puts some in jeopardy. Eliza says, “He could lose his life!”
